Anaesthetic Care

The Cape Gate Anaesthesia practice is an association of Specialist Anaesthesiologists who provide high quality anaesthetic care in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. The practice is based at Cape Gate Mediclinic and has been in operation since the hospital’s doors opened for the first patient in 2010.

The practice has 10 associates and we provide anaesthetic services to more than 40 surgeons and physicians. All our associates are registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa and members of the South African Society of Anaesthesiologists. We play an active role in clinical decision-making policies, with some of our associates serving on the hospital’s Clinical Performance as well as Theatre Users Committees.
